Gloria Avila has been an active leader in sexual and reproductive health since junior college. While working toward her Associate’s Degree in International Business at Sacred Heart Junior College, Gloria became a volunteer with Youth For the Future (YFF), in Cayo District, Belize, where she assisted in planning trainings and workshops for youth in the areas of HIV/AIDS, gender equity, and conflict resolution. She has worked with the Emergency Contraception Leadership Initiative, has been a teacher atSadieVernonHigh School, and worked as Coordinator for Belizeans Emergency Contraceptive Advocates (BECA). She has also worked as the Administrative Assistant/Account’s Clerk for GOJovenBelize inBelmopanCity and is very passionate and committed to her work.
