Peter M. Williams was born in Belize City, and was raised by his paternal grandmother. He later moved to Belmopan City, where he currently resides. He is known best for his determination and altruistic character. Since boyhood, his desire for knowledge propelled him to attain his scholastic goals. Peter holds an Associate’s Degree and a Baccalaureate in English, including a surfeit of professional development certificates. He is currently employed by the Government of Belize as the Operations Officer and Criminal Prosecutor at the Department of Transport. In 2015, he became a cohort of GOJoven Belize Program and has since advocated for several policy reforms within his Government Ministry that promote equity and mental wellness. Peter has also dedicated years of service to numerous NGOs in the capacity of member and executive, vice, President of the Belize Red Cross Youth Group, Vice President of the Belmopan City Rotaract Club, Member of Toast Masters International and President of the Belizean Youth for Road Safety to name a few. During his tenure within these organizations, Peter’s volunteerism has had a positive impact on the lives of many Belizeans. His humility, dexterity and amiable personality has formed the bedrock of his passion to serve his community and country.
